Flair Airlines Baggage Fees (2026)
Quick summary
Flair is Canada's ultra-low-cost carrier: only a personal item is free, and both carry-on and checked bags cost extra. Bag prices climb the closer you get to departure, so pay at booking to save the most.
The bottom line on Flair Airlines baggage
Flair Airlines runs the classic ultra-low-cost model: the headline fare is bait, and almost everything beyond a single personal item is charged separately. The real trap is timing rather than the fare itself — a bag added at booking can run around CA$49, but the same bag climbs toward CA$154 by the time you reach the airport gate.
The dependable way to keep Flair cheap is to buy every bag at the moment you book, never at check-in. If your trip is light, pack into the free 15 x 33 x 43 cm, 7 kg personal item and pay nothing at all. Weigh bags at home too, since going over 23 kg adds about CA$9-24 per extra kilogram.

- Going over 23kg adds about CA$9-24 per extra kilogram on top of the bag fee (max 45kg per piece), so weigh bags at home.

What stops you paying these fees on Flair Airlines
- A full-size cabin bag is not free on the cheapest Flair Airlines fare, so the bag that fits under the seat matters — what size actually fits →
How to avoid extra fees
- Buy every bag at the time of booking — prices jump at My Trips, check-in, and especially the airport.
- If you only need a small bag, pack into the free 15 x 33 x 43 cm / 7 kg personal item and pay nothing.
- Flair's 10 kg checked bag option costs the same as a carry-on and can only be bought at booking or via My Trips.
- Weigh bags at home — going over 23 kg adds about CA$9-24 per extra kilogram.
- Skip seat selection if you're flexible; unassigned seats are cheaper and you'll still get a seat.
